Rudi Halbright is the principal photographer and owner of Halbright Photography.

Rudi's love of photography began at an early age when picked up his first 35mm camera while still in grade school. Soon he was taking photos for his high school and college year books and in his junior year of college became editor in chief of the year book. His education began in Information Systems and Psyschology at Carngie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. While studying those subjects he also studied photography at Pittsburgh Filmmakers as well as graphic design and printing technologies. Rudi's initial career in information technology had him working at a number of Fortune 500 companies in New York. While in NYC, Rudi spent late nights in the employee darkroom at one of his employer's and studied photography at the New York School of Visual Arts (SVA).

Desiring a more appealing life style, Rudi moved to San Francisco, a city he fell in love with because of it's beauty and proximity to nature. After several years consulting for a variety of companies, Rudi was ready for a change. He spent several months traveling around the world, mostly in Asia. On his return Rudi was asked by friend he met in India to photograph their wedding in the same authentic, organic style that continues to differentiate his work today.

Rudi's education didn't stop when he became a full time professional photographer. He has studied at U.C. Berkeley with portrait photographer Marcia Lieberman, with acclaimed wedding and portrait photographer, Bambi Cantrell and with one of his favorite wedding photographers, Joe Buissink.

Rudi's photography has been published in the United States and Internationally in a wide variety of publications.

Rudi is an active member of Professional Photographers of America (PPA), serves on the board as an officer for Professional Photographers of the Greater Bay Area (PPGBA), where he has the opportunity to give back to his fellow community of photographers. Rudi is also a member of the National Association of PhotoShop Professionals (NAPP), the Digital Wedding Forum (DWF) and is an active participant of the Bay Area Wedding Network (BAWN).

	Rudi Halbright did a fantastic job at our wedding. We were on a budget, and wanted the best quality for a reasonable price, and he did an excellent job. He even decided to bring an assistant photographer to our wedding (at the last minute) and didn't charge for it! The pictures he takes are a mixture of documentary-type (showing what took place) and artistic photos where a moment is captured or a unique spot is used to frame a scene. The artistic photos are fantastic and really made our wedding photo album striking. He was also a wonderful person to work with, very personable and friendly. Rudi Halbright is passionate about his work as a photographer and you can see this passion in the photographs he takes. Before he shot our wedding, I was able to see samples of other weddings and events in his portfolio. Although I didn't know any of the subjects in the shots, I felt a connection to them and to their special event because of Rudi's ability to capture their emotions so sweetly. 	Rudi does weddings, bar mitzvahs and business "head shots". I used him for the head shot for my business, and they turned out great. He seems to be very efficient - backs up his cameras w/ camers w/ cameras, so he is never unprepared. Has a great sense of humor and his fees are not high.
