Last weekend I had the opportunity to attend and document the 3rd annual Hazon Food Conference at Asilomar a convention center located on a stunning property overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Pacific Grove, CA. It was a beautiful setting that brought together an extraordinary group of people. This included Jewish educators, farmers, students, professional chefs and people just interested in Judaism, food and sustainability. Here are a few of my favorite photos from the conference:
Rabbi Chai Levy prepares some newspaper for a compost bin
Co-Chair Zelig Golden speaks to the attendees in the opening event
Lighting the Menorahs on the first night of the conference
All gather to celebrate the ending of shabbat with the lighting of the Havdalah Candles
Dancing after Havdalah at the Hazon Food Conference
