I had the pleasure of photographing Ja Nay and Darnell on a lovely late afternoon into evening in what has felt like an early spring here in the Bay Area. Lake Merritt is one of my favorite locations here in the East Bay and I always have fun shooting there. The only caveat is that it can be a bit crowded and the good weather contributed to that challenge. I found most people to be very considerate of our shooting and to wait before crossing in front of the camera. We were able to get lots of great shots and using a shallow depth of field to blur the background I kept the focus on the lovely couple!
