It was a beautiful event as the community came together representing many groups, from reform to observant to unaffiliated to support the dedication of the new Torah belonging to Jewish Milestones and through them to the East Bay Jewish Community!
The special guest speaker was Jen Taylor Friedman one of very few women who write original rabbi texts (soferet).. She gave a talk that was very open, direct and gave such a deep understanding of what compels her to do such unique and beautiful work — as well as the challenges to do so as a woman.
